Weld/Grinder/Sandblasting Damage

Caused when grinding, welding or blasting operations are carried out close to glass without first protecting it and as such one of the most annoying forms of glass damage. Molten metal fragments or blasting media at high speed embed themselves into the surface of the glass

If left, over time these fragments then rust causing an undesirable appearance to the glass. Removing weld/grinder spatter and sandblasting damage is time consuming to remove and only really cost effective for larger units. Due to the nature of the media being embedded in the glass, the success rate is fairly low. Most of the time we can only slightly improve on the damage depending on how deep it’s gone into the glass.
